When a tub is referred to as "primed and finished", it means that the tub has been sanded, primed and painted with enamel paint. Unless you plan to sand down, prime and paint the freestanding clawfoot slipper bathtubs yourself or just leave it as it is, you can save money. If you don't then we recommend buying a tub that has been finished otherwise you may regret it later when you can't finish it yourself.
